 This plugin extends the built-in footnote facility of DokuWiki, providing additional features and more flexible handling of notes and citations.  It's useful for sites that make extensive use of footnotes and citations.  It also allows the creation of "note blocks" that can be used to override the automatic placement of footnotes -- this is especially useful for pages that will be included in other pages.
 The refnotes configuration has been modified by checking the "Use footnote syntax" option.  This results in native DokuWiki footnotes to be handled by the plugin.  Refnotes features can then be applied to footnotes created before the plugin was installed.  For example, existing footnotes can now be made to appear in a note block rather than at the default page bottom location -- again, especially used for pages that will be included in other pages.
